EKO2 Cabinet

EKOs Cabinet

(available as from March 2007)

The EKO Cabinet from Cheshire Interactive Technology is a low cost kiosk, yet high on quality and specification.

The cabinet is laser cut and computer folded from 1.6mm steel, apart from the base which is from 3mm steel. The additional gauge of the base adds weight for stability and reduces twist on the cabinet on un-even floors.

The cabinet is powder coated for a resilient finish. As standard the base and screen surround are ‘black’ and the cabinet is RAL9006 (silver).

The cabinet comes with an internal 4 way mains block and a 1.5 m fly lead.

Security and strength have been built into the design, and the door is locked by a pair of security locks.

The lid hinges upwards for easy servicing.

The rear of the cabinet has a ventilation area at its top edge to aid cooling. The sides have speaker grilles.

A budget kiosk from both wood and steel construction.

The steel parts are laser cut and computer folded from 1.6mm steel, apart from the base which is from 3mm steel. The additional gauge of the base adds weight for stability and reduces twist on the cabinet on un-even floors.

It shares common components from the EKO cabinet to provide economies of scale for keeping manufacturing costs down and ease of servicing.

The large flat areas are ideal as branding areas.

The cabinet can be supplied in flat pack format with easy construction.

Large flat screens are now dominating the “display” market place. Here at Cheshire Interactive Technology we seek to ensure clients make the highest opportunity from them.

The EKOs cabinet from Cheshire Interactive Technology, addresses the issue of utilising the new large format flat screens (say 28” and above) without having a large, heavy and clumsy looking kiosk.

Standard Features;

· Steel construction, designed for taking a large vertical load (associated with large screens).

· Can accommodate a wide range of display drive electronics – e.g. PC, / DVD player with adjustable shelves.

· Display drive electronics are behind a locked door, and can be forward or reverse facing depending on access.

· Modular design – can be ordered to suit various width screens.

· No modification required to screen – thus no warranty issues.

· Portable unit – could even be “flat packed” for transport.

· Built in “spirit level” to aid installation.

Options;

· Comes with 4 adjustable feet. Stability can be increased by loading the base or using the “Base plate”.

· Additional shelves can be installed for holding materials / supplies at trade shows for example.

· The cabinet can be used with our “Video Sender” picking up video signals from another location – ideal for “live” feeds.

Bespoke Kiosks

The team at Cheshire Interactive Technology years of experience in the design of cabinets to house electronic systems which need good ergonomics, style and serviceability. We draw upon this knowledge base in the design of their standard product and 'specials'. We also have the skills and experience to design and manufacture the wiring harnesses, plastic mouldings and EMC test.

Our methodology in new designs is as follows;
  • New concepts are first talked through between our product designer and the customer, to ensure we understand their requirements and they understand any restraints (e.g. Health & Safety
  • A colour visual is then prepared for showing to the customer
  • At this stage a scale model made be made to convey in 3D the styling
  • Any adjustments will be made on the CAD system prior to full engineering drawings being produced.
  • A Parts List is generated for every component requiring manufacturing or processing.
  • The Parts List is loaded onto a computerised Manufacturing system. All the parts are ordered and tracked by the computer with respect to the delivery program.
  • New designs are built by our Prototype team who record any comments
  • Unit will then pass through the EMC test program.
  • Based on the updated Parts List, a quote is prepared for the size of the potential order, along with delivery times.
  • The product and documentation are presented to the customer and reviewed.
