Paper Rolls

The printer in this kiosk/unit/system uses thermal paper which is available in a variety of weights and thickness. Thermal paper can also have special coatings (e.g.. grease or water resistant) The make and grade of thermal paper required has to be compatible with the thermal print-head and the exact type is dependent on the type of use, and possibly location, of the kiosk/unit/system.

Thermal paper works by receiving direct heat from the print-head and does not require a ribbon.

The printed image will last for at least 10 years provided it is stored away from direct light and does not make direct contact with plastics.

Thermal paper rolls can be supplied either plain or pre-printed in up to 5 colours (for large quantities up to 7 colours). The rolls can be perforated, both cross and longitude at various intervals. Die-cuts and punch holes can be made for specialist applications. Printing can be on either side, or both sides of the paper.
