Business Risk Analysis and Assistance
There are two processes you need to periodically review for your
business;

These levels are best highlighted by way of examples;
Level 1
Samples of examples are;

Loss of phone lines - you cannot phone out, customers
cannot phone you, your call centre may be put out of action

Loss of electricity - cannot use telephone exchange, no
lighting, computers, door systems fail

False alarm - either fire alarm or burglar alarm goes off,
the noise is such that users cannot stay in the office or make phone calls.
Who responds out of hours.

Water burst - water has to be switched off - thus no
toilets / water for drinks machine / canteen

Minor computer virus - stops Emails going in / out

Air conditioning fails - computer room may over heat
Whilst all these have a relatively short impact - they are a
disruption to the business.
Level 2
Samples of examples are;

Burglary

Flood damage

Localised fire

Malicious employee

Serious computer virus
If employees are unable to work, you may have to send them home
on full pay.
Level 3
Samples of examples are;

Failure of building, eg Gas explosion, structural failure

Major fire

Major flood - mains, water, sewerage all not available.
You need to identify the risks and come up with a strategy to
overcome them.
